Classes take place in my studio in Magdalen Road, Oxford.
Classes are customised for the needs and desires of the students involved. All foundational techniques for anyone beginning pottery or wanting to improve certain techniques can be taught, but there is no strict curriculum and so classes may be adapted to whatever suits your interests most.
Classes can accommodate maximum 3 people where two people throw on the wheel and one person hand builds. Classes are £80 if one person attends, £60 per person if two people attend and £50 per person if three people attend. A discount can be given for block bookings. Firing and glazing costs are extra. Please enquire with dates and times you would like to learn as these are flexible.
Skills that can be taught in classes are throwing (on both electric and momentum wheel), hand-building (coiling, slab-building, pinching and more), handling, and much much more. Please enquire with any specific skill you would wish to learn. Classes are two hours of taught time with then a clean up period at the end.
Larger groups of up to 18 people can also be accommodated for group hand-building workshops. Please enquire for pricing and availability.
